Wearing lolita again and tsum tsums

Exams and assignment are over! That marks the end of my second year of studies here in Dublin.
To celebrate the end of exams I wore lolita for the first time in over a year. I do not have any flat black lolita shoes, so I tried to excuse wearing normal shoes by wearing my punk style jacket with the dress.
Headband: Rococo Soul
Dress: Bodyline

As you may notice from the picture, I now have short hair. :) I got my hair cut shorter last summer and at the start of this year I got it cut even shorter. It has grown quite a bit since then. It was actually too short three months ago, but it's a good length now. I've had long hair since the start of this blog, but right now I'm much happier with shorter hair.

In other news, I've been visiting the Disney Store at least once a week, so naturally we have collected a few tsum tsums. We don't buy that many tsum tsums because we only get the ones that we really like. We currently own 10 tsum tsums, and we've bought two for my mother as well.
These are the lastest additions to our little collection. I went to the Disney Store with my boyfriend the day they released the new Alice set and I got myself three tsums from the collection. We went there again later that week when they were having a sale and got a medium Donald and a regular Piglet for my mum. The Piglet on the left is one we got from Paris last year. My mother loved it so much when I took it to Finland with me last Christmas that I had to get her her own Piglet.

I will make a post about all of the tsum tsums we have after I get back from my trip. I went to Finland alone for Easter, but today I'm flying there with my boyfriend. We are staying in Finland until the end of this week and on Sunday we are going to London for two nights. Hopefully we'll get to add more tsum tsums to our collection from London!

White shoes from Bodyline, s522

As soon as I say I haven't been busy I get busy... I completely forgot I was going to go to Finland for two weeks and had to finish an assignment by the following Monday from when I was flying back to Dublin. That assignment is now done and I have a ton of other assignments waiting to be done.

But, here is the promised new lolita post. :) I felt like I needed a pair of white shoes to wear with sweet lolita because I've gotten into a bit more into a toned down classic look, rather than the pink and bright look that I previously preferred. So, a while back, before my trip to Finland, I ordered a pair of shoes from Bodyline. I actually forgot I had ordered them and was confused when my boyfriend told me that my shoes have arrived.

Because I forgot I ordered them I don't remember how long exactly it took for them to arrive, but it was at least over two weeks since I had time to visit Finland before I got them.

I had been looking at the s507 shoes for over a year and wanted to get them, but after a long consideration I got the s522 instead. My boyfriend isn't much taller than me, so flat shoes are better.
I had ordered four pairs of shoes from Bodyline before. Only the first two came in boxes, so I was happy to see that I got a box again with my 5th shoe order. The new box is slightly smaller and darker in colour than the other two boxes I got before. But the other two boxes are too big for the shoes, so I think their new shoe boxes are much better.

The shoes fit me perfectly, but I think they curve up a bit too much at the front, which makes them look a bit silly to me when looking at them from the side. I will write a more detailed review on the shoes later as usual.

I also got my first wrist cuffs in the same order.

I'm still struggling to be happy with the look of my blog, so I'll have to do something about it again once I'm done with all of the assignments. And hopefully I'll have time to wear lolita again soon. I still haven't gone out of the house in lolita since I moved here. I saw some lolitas in the city a few weeks back though. I wished I had been wearing lolita that day. :D

It's been too long

The longer I wait to make a new post, the harder it will be to get started with it. I haven't even been wearing lolita since I moved to Ireland. I've only put on the new Infanta dress twice at home and taken pictures of it. I never "quit" lolita, it just kind of happened, and then I became scared to get back into it again. (I actually bought three new dresses last year, never worn) And I've also been scared to come back to my blog and see how it looks. I certainly need to update the layout. :D

I am going to get back into lolita and wearing cute clothes in general. I used to wear skirts or dresses every day in upper secondary, but now I have been wearing mostly just black jeans. Setting up lights and cameras in lolita would not do good to the clothes, and it might cause huge hazards to everyone when I'd knock over everything with my skirts, so... wearing lolita to college does, unfortunately, not work for me. And on my spare time I've mostly been at home and gone out for quick shops to get food in whatever I could find in the pile of shirts I had on my couch.

I will get back to making proper lolita/cute posts next week. I hope this post made at least a little bit of sense. :P I'm writing this in a hurry before going out to shop with my boyfriend (I have a boyfriend now??!?!?!?!?) to get it finally out of the way. I might come back to this post and edit it later, but now I have to get dressed and go out!

I don't like leaving posts without images, so here's a little picture of cute tights I found here. I could never find anything this cute in Finland.

EDIT 11pm: I couldn't leave the blog looking as it did, so I made a new banner. I'm not completely happy with how it turned out, but I feel more comfortable with the colours now. I spent so much time adjusting the brightness and contrast of the image, and it still doesn't quite match the text. I'll probably remake the text layer with a different font for the banner some day, but for now I'll just leave the text as it was in the old one. :)

The old banner and colours.

My third QutieLand order

Making times on QutieLand are often very long and this time wasn't an exception.
I placed the order before Christmas but I didn't receive the items until late May.

Clicking on stock photos will take you to the items on QutieLand's website
and the photos that I have taken will take you to the full reviews of the items.

I didn't plan on ordering anything but when I saw this Infanta dress I started planning an order.

Along with Infanta's Rose Cathedral OP, I got Dream of Lolita's Kitten Embroidery JSK,
which I had been eyeing ever since I first visited the website.

Lastly, I decided that I should buy a proper petticoat since I never seem to get any of my sewing projects finished. I was torn between different Classical Puppets petticoats for a few weeks but I figured that the "Daily A-Shape" would be the most practical one and I could always wear another petticoat with it if a skirt needed more volume.

Originally, I was supposed to fly to Ireland tomorrow but I changed the flight to next week's Friday so I'll have time to write reviews before I leave Finland. My next blog post, on the other hand, is going to be written in Ireland. It might take a while until I get internet, so I don't know when I'll be able to write but I hope it won't take as long as it took to publish the previous post. :)

Preparing for a new chapter & Outfit Post #22

Summer is gone and I have too much to post about. I had planned on doing so much more this summer but all of my plans were ruined. After my trip I had to think it all over and forget about writing for a while. At several occasions I tried to make myself write something  but I didn't want to act as if nothing had happened but I didn't want to explain yet either. If you want to know the reason I haven't been posting, I have already mentioned it here.

The trip to Britain was a success but now I find it too late to post about it, and I feel like it's something I should post about on my other blog because I have decided that from now on this blog will be entirely about clothes and other cute things. I will begin to write about my life in general in "Project Ireland" instead.

Now to start the new chapter in the life of my blog,
I have a few outfits I have been meaning to show you.

Firstly, I bought my first "normal" dress in 10 years.
The tights I found on my trip to Britain.  :)
Dress: Seppälä
Tights: Primark
Shoes: H&M

The second outfit I built around my newest Bodyline shirt.
Headband: Bodyline (ACC1197)
Shirt: Bodyline (L536)
Skirt: Bodyline (L368)
Socks: Bodyline (socks373)
Shoes: Bodyline (shoes178)

And thirdly, I quickly matched some pieces together for grocery shopping.
Necklace: Bodyline
Skirt: Bodyline (L303)
Shoes: Bodyline

After a little over two weeks I will be in Ireland. I cannot take all of my clothes with me in a suitcase, which means that I will have to buy new pieces in order to wear lolita, before I get everything sent as cargo on Christmas holiday. I will take as many photos as possible before leaving, so that I can still write reviews on  some of the items I need to leave behind.

Bodyline order review

I didn't realise I would be so busy on Easter holiday that I would not be able to post. Moreover, the internet at the school didn't work when I came back so, when I finally had time to write, I simply couldn't publish the post. Also, I won't be at home much for the next couple of weeks because I am going to go on a school trip. In other words, I won't be able to take any photos for the reviews on the items yet. :(

I ordered the items from Bodyline on the 22nd of March and the parcel arrived at the post office on the 3rd of April. Stock photos will take you to the items on Bodyline's website and I will add links to the full reviews of the items below the pictures as soon as I get enough pictures taken.
For the first time, everything I got from Bodyline was looked exactly as I thought.

I haven't really had a proper summer dress so I got this JSK in yellow.
L047

The second item that caught my attention was this cutsew in pink.
L536, review here
I have previously ordered some cutsews from Bodyline but the shade of the pink on those has been awfully dark. The colour of this cutsew, on the other hand, is perfectly pale.

Lastly, I added this little headband in pik-owh to the cart.
ACC1197
Again, the shade of pink is perfect unlike the other headbands' I've got from Bodyline.

Fortunately, school will be over after I come back from the trip so I will have more time and energy to update the blog. Until then, please follow my yet utterly boring blog about moving abroad.
I will probably start writing that more after the trip too. ^_^

Shopping & Outfit Post #21

I went shopping a few weeks ago and found some really cute clothes.
The shirt and tights on the left are from a supermarket and everything on the right is from H&M.

I love the new shirt and skirt from H&M so I had to wear them right away.
Necklace: F+F
Loose black shirt: H&M
(white tank top: H&M)
Skirt: H&M
Shoes: H&M

I seem to have a lot of clothes from H&M.
I didn't wear a single piece of clothing from them when I was shopping though.
Hair accessories: Bodyline & F+F
Jacket: F+F
Skirt: Bodyline

I was really excited to finally wear the jacket.
I've actually had it for a couple of years but I just hadn't got to making it smaller until now.

Lastly, here is an outfit I wore today to get a Bodyline order from the post office.

The shirt has now been washed and the black fabric on the back didn't bleed at all. :)
Next time (in 2 weeks) I will post about the clothes I got.
